UK Shropshire based Jesmonite, design and manufacture, unique cementitious materials for use in the creative arts and architectural industries. As part of the company’s strategic objective to increase both manufacturing capacity and world-wide market share, it had been decided that the process improvements and kudos associated with the ISO 9001 Quality management Systems standard were a key enabler for the growth.
Having found my ISO 9001:2015 resources via an online search whilst researching the requirements of the standard, Jesmonite decided to get in touch as they had concluded that they may need some additional external support for the process.
An initial gap analysis determined what areas of the current business systems required a review to comply with the standard and also, those which may benefit from some process improvement work to be carried out as part of the systems alignment process.
Our action plan based on the gap analysis was agreed and regular reviews conducted to ensure the project stayed on track. Internal systems audits (as required by the standard for successful certification) were conducted, and were also used as part of the Plan, Do, Check, Act implementation plan for new and updated processes.
Certification was awarded by UKAS Accredited Bureau Veritas on plan, with no Non Conformities recorded.
