I was contacted by Fives Solios Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fives Group, a large international industrial engineering group, in early 2015. Although a multi-million turnover business, the company operated with a relatively small dedicated team. Essentially a project management organisation, designing, building and installing large Aluminium holding furnaces across the globe, the company had identified that it needed additional specialist support for its Quality Management System and to drive improvements.
My brief at Fives Solios was wide ranging and very interesting. From assisting with ISO 9001 audits and hosting external certification assessments, to quality concern problems resolution, facilitation of Management Review meetings, KPI data gathering analysis and evaluation, identification and execution of process improvements, facilitation of engineering concept brainstorm workshops with senior engineering staff from UK, USA and France to design and implementation of employee satisfaction surveys!
